Have Yourself a Mindful & Healthy Christmas

Christmas can come and go in a flash!

Seems like the years are getting shorter and faster every year don't you agree?

It's that time of the year where some of us might be feeling some mixed emotions.... we love it as it's rejoicing and celebrating God's divine love for us - the birth of Jesus Christ, we love it because we get to have some quality time with our loved ones and eat lots of yummy food and enjoy the beach and the sun! (if you are in Australia like me) My goodness! Seafood, Cherries, Mangoes, Pavlova they're all my favourites whist eating outside in the sunny beach! Those are just some of the things that i love about Christmas!

but then...

It is also the busiest time of the year.. traffic, line ups... wrapping gifts (though i enjoy this), angry and tired people.... extra and long hours at work.. and if you're an entrepreneur.. you might have some deadlines to meet, meet ups upon meet ups and so on.... it can get really stressful even for the most prepared and organised because there's simply just so much going on!

So to help us busy entrepreneurs out there, here's my top 5 tips on how to stay mindful, chilled and relaxed this Christmas + a very yummy & healthy recipe specially created by our guest blogger Alyssa Mak!

Top 5 tips on how to stay mindful, chilled and

relaxed this busy Christmas season:

1) Write a to do list! This will help get your thoughts down on paper and will help you feel on top of your game once you start ticking those tasks off your list.

2) Create Your Quiet Space.

Find a quite spot where you can meditate every morning (or during the night if you want) to get your mind focused on the things that are really important to you.

3) Go For A Mindful Walk.

Taking a simple, short walk during the course of your day can help you order your thoughts + get fresh air!

4) Be Thankful For Little Things.

Find time each day to look for one small thing to appreciate where ever you are - a simple meal, the branch of a tree, the smile on a strangers face or the hearty rumble of a passing train. Being grateful and thankful for the little things.

5) Live Life One Day At A Time.

Enjoy every moment and be present!

Christmas Cinnamon Baked Pear:

It’s leading into Christmas and often with the many dinners we have to attend or host, it seems almost impossible not to gain some weight this season. Today I will be sharing a healthier Christmas dessert recipe so that you can have a healthier option to celebrate Christmas with! VERY SIMPLE RECIPE.

Christmas Cinnamon Baked Pear: Servings: 4


Beurre Bosc Pears - 4 peeled

Grounded Cinnamon - 1-2 teaspoon

Honey - 1 tablespoon

Christmas Garnish (optional):


Mint leaves


1. Preheat oven to 250 Degrees Celsius for 30 minutes

2. Cut the peeled pears in half and sprinkle 1 - 1.5 teaspoon of cinnamon grounds all over evenly on all sides (leaving some to garnish with)

3. Wrap all the halved pears in one foil sheet (making sure that the top is covered as well to prevent the pear from burning)

4. Reduce the oven heat to 200 degrees

5. Place the wrapped up pear in a baking tray and bake for 45 minutes

6. Plate pear to serve by drizzling honey, dusting the remaining grounded cinnamon and garnish with raspberries and mint leaves for a Christmasy touch!
