3 Ways to Build Healthy Boundaries for Wellness + My DoTERRA Experience

As a mommypreneur, we have so many things to juggle - business, our family time, homework time with the kids, house work, cooking, cleaning, (you name it-we do it) and so it can get super busy. When i'm busy and sometimes in a zone where i'm working on something i'm really passionate about, I tend to forget to look after myself. Can anyone relate? Looking after myself is something i've been working on - more so this past year and have been more conscious about taking the time to look after my wellbeing so that I can better look after my family and their needs as well.

Because really, I can't help anyone when i'm sick. I can't serve to the best of my ability in any aspect of my life if i'm not 100%. I've learned and continually learning about working from a place of overflow rather than working from whatever is left.

So here I want to share with you one of the most powerful things you can do to really look after your wellbeing. Apart from eating healthy, exercising, having a sleeping routine, doing the things that light you up.... this one is an absolute must if you want to really start creating that heathy lifestyle you want for yourself and your family.

Creating Healthy Boundaries!

In this blog I share with you my 3 ways you can build healthy boundaries for wellness + of course my DoTERRA experience as this has been something I have recently discovered and I know you'll also love to try too!

So 3 ways you can create healthy boundaries:

1) CREATE YOUR PERSONAL SPACE

Create space for you to be alone with your thoughts & with your creator.

This is actually a need. I think if we dedicated more time creating this space we won't be as stressed! - because when we spend time anchoring ourselves in, when we ground ourselves and spend time to think things through, things that overwhelm us, or perhaps questions that might have been floating in our minds making us anxious actually become clearer. Schedule a time each day to have your quiet space. it can be for as little as 20 minutes to 1 hour if you wish, but use this time to pray and meditate on God's word. Just being alone with God and surrendering all your thoughts to Him. I think mornings are great for this. Using the first moment of your day creating space for you and your creator.

I've recently been sent some beautiful Essential Oils by DoTERRA and this is one of the ways i've been using the oils. I put in 2 drops of lemon oil in my defuser for my morning meditation or the Lavender Oil in the night. I find that the Lemon is energising and wakes me up in the morning and the Lavender calming and soothes me to sleep at night. I love that it makes the whole house smell so good and somehow changes the way you feel with the different scents. Using these essential oils just creates such a special space for me when I have my "quiet time" and it's something I look forward to.

2) GET RID OF ENERGY SUCKERS & LEARN TO SAY NO

Ok so there are a lot of energy suckers out there! It could be a task that was handed for you to do that you really really don't want to do, it could be an event that you've been invited to and you just feel required to attend... it could even be being around negative people - yes they suck your energy! Have you ever left an event and come home feeling really exhausted and have lost all your energy (because you were around a negative crowd)?

Be aware of the things that suck your energy and get rid of them. Learn to say no to invites that you know will exhaust you instead of light you up; and say goodbye to "friends" who you know are energy suckers.

Make sure that you surround yourself with people who add value and make you a better person and only go to events that light you up and really engage you. I know it might sound full on, but be brutal because this is really important for your wellbeing and also for your personal growth.

Start investing time with people who light you up and speak life to you. Create events that bring out the best in you and ones that will attract the right kind of people in your life.

One of the things that light me up is Quality Time! I would rather be with one person spending quality time and having meaningful conversations over coffee. & here's another thing I discovered! You can actually use DoTERRA Essential Oils to add to your desserts! What?! It's been raining here in Sydney and so nice warm drink was the go. I tried "Chocmint" hot chocolate, simply by adding a tiny bit of the Peppermint oil into my hot chocolate. Invite your close friend over and have some quality time. 3) LEAVE WORK AT WORK

Set a clear boundary that work stays at work. Your home is a place to recharge, spend time with your family and it's a place of relaxation. It's designed this way for our wellness!

Sometimes we love our work so much and so passionate about what we're doing that we can sometimes take the work home (yes this goes for those who work from home too - and not stopping when time is up) If you work form home like I do, schedule your finish time and leave your office like you would if you were working else where. if you can, and there's no urgent projects happening that need your urgent attention, switch off your phone and your computer/laptop so that you can now concentrate on enjoying your home and resting with your family. And again, learn to say no to projects or work that you know is not aligned with your passions as well as projects that you know will eat up your family time and things that are most important to you.

One way you can de-stress ( if you're like me who takes a bit of time to wind down) and start to rest after work from coming home is to rub 2 drops of lavender essential oil to your temples - this will help you relax and wind down after a long days work.

So there you go, those are the 3 ways you can start building healthy boundaries for you and your family's wellness + the different ways you can use DoTTERA Essential Oils.

I've been so blessed to have been sent these amazing doTERRA Essential Oils by the beautiful Amy Innes & it has been a great experience adding essential oils in my everyday life.

One of the biggest things that the oils have helped my family with is with our allergies. Our family is prone to suffer from hay fever and allergies when the weather changes. Through Amy i've learned that the combination of lemon, peppermint and lavender is perfect for it! A natural way to battle these allergies instead of taking antihistamines. Thank you Amy!

Amy also helps women build a lifestyle of financial freedom through DoTERRA so if this calls out to you, find out more about her and the company HERE.

Remember that wellbeing is not just the absence of disease or illness. It is a complex combination of a person's physical, mental, emotional and social health factors. Wellbeing is strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction. In short, wellbeing could be described as how you feel about yourself and your life.

And for us to be able to serve others, use our gifts and talents and empower others to the best of our ability, then we need to work on ourselves first and make sure we're working form a place of overflow and setting healthy boundaries for ourselves.

Lots of love,

Fideliz x
