// 12 BUSINESS TIPS EVERY ENTREPRENEUR SHOULD KNOW // PART 1

So here it is the blog version!

For the last couple of weeks, every tuesday afternoon i've been going on Facebook live to share some of my fave tips & advice that i've learned from my experiences as i build my business.

As my business grows, i find that i get more and more clients who are business owners and some who are kickstarting their dream business. I get a lot of questions about my experiences and tips i might have, so thought it would be a great idea to share them via Facebook live (& of course now on blog too!)

// 12 BUSINESS TIPS EVERY

ENTREPRENEUR SHOULD KNOW //

Facebook Live Series.

There's 12 tips altogether in the series, and so i unpack 3 at a time every tuesday afternoon! If you have missed it live, you can watch the replay on my Facebook page HERE. But for those of you who love a written/blog version, here it is!

So far, here's the first 6 tips we have discussed:

1) COMMUNITY IS EVERYTHING!

People play a huge part and make a massive impact in our lives!

Entrepreneur & Motivational speaker Jim Rohn says "You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with".

And i couldn't agree more! I feel that we're very much influenced by the people we surround ourselves with, so it's important that we're aware of who we allow ourselves to be surrounded with. Surround yourself with people who will challenge you and bring out the best in you. The people that support and believe in your vision and those who will speak life and encourage you.

2 Things to remember about Communities:

- Invest in your Tribe.

"Your vibe attracts your tribe"

These are like minded people who have the same passions, beliefs and interests as you. They would be your biz besties and ones who are excited about the same things that light you up. Build strong meaningful relationships together!

You'll find that this is not only a massive support system (not just for you but others too) but also a place where you will find most of your dream clients.

- Cultivate your Community.

Be active and engage when you're part of a community.

Look at ways you can add value and bless the people in your community. You can do this by commenting on posts, sharing valuable content and engaging in conversation.

By the way, if you are a Christian Woman who's running your own business & ready to be part of a supportive sisterhood community for connection and collaboration, come and join us! Join our Kingdom Women Entrepreneur Community right HERE.

As you change, your business is going to change.

It's ok to make some changes in your business as you continue to grow and explore new ways of doing things.

Nothing is wasted!

All the things you have learned in the past can be utilised and used in your business. At times when we feel that we've had to start over, we feel that it was a set back and that we've wasted time!

But think if you hadn't tried it at all? all the learnings and experiences that you would have missed if you didn't go through that path. - remember that setbacks are really stepping stones to get you closer to your goal. you're just much closer now!

3) GET RID OF COMPARISON-ITIS.

Yes sometimes we can't help but compare!

This happens to everyone!

But catch yourself when you do and look at the bigger picture.

Remember that you're really just seeing that person's highlight reel. It's only a glimps, the "best view" of what they do but not the full picture. Remember that everyone is at a different level, with different skill sets, back grounds and experiences so there really is nothing to compare.

Instead of comparing, focus and use that energy to get inspired and get creative in your own business.

4) OWN YOUR OWN PACE

You don't have to feel like you have to take "the leap" into business.

Go at your own pace and take it step by step.

Everyone has their own groove and own way of doing things.

You can have a "day job" whist you're starting your business and that's totally ok. Everyone's life style is different and so if this is working for you, do it! You will need the extra income as you're building your business and this will help you transition as you grow.

Consistency in excellent customer service is key.

5) BUILD YOUR BUSINESS AROUND YOUR LIFE STYLE. (Not the other way around)

Remember your WHY.

Yes we build our business to serve and add value and give back to the community, but we also build it for our families right?

It the end of the day i'm sure you'll agree with me that we do what we do to support and nourish our family. and so create your business around your life style so you can spend time on things that are important and make them your priority.

6) BE OPEN FOR LEARNING & INVEST IN YOURSELF

We're all constantly learning and the more we learn the more we get to give out and be a blessing to others - cos really, we can only put out what we have in.

So invest in yourself.

Spiritually, Emotionally, Physically... the list goes on...

Buy new books, go to seminars, workshops, meet ups etc...

Hire a life coach!

Have a teachable heart and be open to new ideas and ways of doing things. you'll find that this will help you not only grow your business but also your character as a person.

For me investing in a coach and a mentor is a must and one that i surely invest in when it comes to my personal and business growth. If you want to fast track your progress and get clear action steps towards your goals and vision working with a life coach will give you incredible results.
