Why It's Important to know your S.T.O.R.Y as you live out your God-given Calling.

Have you ever been hooked watching TV series? Korean Drama.... or perhaps those drama, thriller series you would find on Netflix?

Or maybe you're like me.. i love watching Filipino Teleserye! (haha - yes it's true, believe it or not!)

No matter what TV series, our lives are somewhat similar in a way that we all have a part to play in a much bigger story. A Story that has been written and created by God as He leads us to live out our calling.

But not like the series that we're so used to watching with one character being "killed" off after a few episodes.... a character with a "small part" or the "hero" and "villain" who are the main characters.

There are no SMALL PARTS in God's Story.

You play no small part. Because there's no small part to be played.

"All of you together are Christ body, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part of it." (1 Corinthians 12:27)

Separate and Necessary. Unique and Essential.

No one else has been given your lines.

God has entrusted your part to you alone. No one else can play the part as well as you can - nor can you try to be somebody else that you're not! YOU need to be YOU!

"Don't compare yourself with others, each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life." (Gal 6:4-5)

And so it's important to learn, know and live out your own S.T.O.R.Y. - Learning about yourself and how God has created you so uniquely. These 5 questions will help you on your way!

1. What are your Strengths?

What are the things you're really good at? Some are great with numbers, some with putting an outfit together. Some are great with organising events, and some are great at managing and directing people. What do you do so well that requires such little effort?

"God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well" (Romans 12:6)

2. What is your Topic?

What topics light you up and excites you?

Do you like talking about politics? Outfits and shopping? Finance and saving money? business? what kind of topics do you find yourself drawn to?

3. What are you Optimal Conditions?

What factors trigger your motivation?

Where do you thrive?

Do you work well under pressure? Do you work well when regularly affirmed? Look at the environment where you thrive and work best.

4. What about Relationships?

How are you relating to people when you're in a moment of satisfaction and success? Some love to work in a team environment... Some love being in a small knit community and some love to work one on one. Look at your relationship style

and last... determine what makes you say YES!

5) What makes you say YES?

What do you look up to heaven and say "YES! I was made for this!" as you use all that you have to serve? Once you understand and live out your strength, understand the topics that excites you, what is your Optimal Conditions, how you work best in your Relationships, then you are living out your own S.T.O.R.Y.

Remember that YOU have been created so specifically and significantly to live out your own story and that story is to share the love of God in all that we do and to all the people we meet.

Our lives are God's beautifully written Story of His love.

Let your life be the story that people would love to read.
